(This question is just about the tower - don't include the monitor, keyboard, etc.)

Assuming it could handle any game (even upcoming ones) with all the graphics turned up, smooth movement at a decent widescreen resolution (like 1680 x 1050), 2GB of memory, 500GB hard drive - it could hold its own against Alienware, Falcon Northwest, or Voodoo PCs.

Don't worry about what they tend to cost right now:

How much would YOU be willing to pay for it?

$14,950, is your pc for sale? ...i'll give you $16,000 and not a penny more ..do you take personal cheques?

Just the tower and all parts in it? About $1000-1500 can get a PC with pretty much "top of the line" performance.

$1500; the price I payed for mine two years ago (it was top of the line back then).

?2000 for the desktop box
?1000 for the monitor

3000 pounds in total.

When I build a PC it always seems to cost about $1000-1200. When I used to use my 17" CRT for gaming, I would run at 1600x1200 often. Of course there are other costs within a year from that purchase, add a hard drive or something.

A blowjob for a $1500 vs. a computer for $1500.

Hard choice for me personally :(.

$1000

Bought a dell XPS for a grand. I seriously got the best deal.

Still wondering how my boss got it and sold it so cheap. He also had a couple ps3's and wii's when they were a hot item.

I payed around $3500 for mine about 2 years ago. It can still run todays newest games flawlessly. I got top of the notch everything. I got a nice LCD, expensive speakers, sound card, a lot of RAM, beefy PSU, raid 0 WD hard drive. I also pimped it out with UV orange sleeved PSU cords and UV lights. Its the most pimp comp I have ever seen...evar!

About $1300 CAD is my limit. Any more than that and it's not really worth what little extra performance you get, for me anyway.

Something around $3k. I'd rather pay 2k for a decent beastie instead, though.

My next PC, the one I'll be playing TF2 on, will eventually cost about $4,800. 2GB of memory? Try four. 500GB hard drive? Try FOUR F*CKIN' TERRABYTES, BABY! XD

By next year (I wish I could say this year) I'm going to shell out $1,200 for a 40" wall-mounted plasma monitor to go along with it. Total cost of the whole thing'll be a cool six grand.

Just for the case?

I payed $180 for my last case. Dunno as long as i really like the case ill buy it.

With everything inside my last PC was $2300 No monitor. My next pc is going to be around the same.

I spent $200 on my last case and realized what a dumb idea that was way into it. Could've gotten comparable performance for $60.

At least it looks nice.

I'm getting my dads old and upgrading it with a clocked 7600gt and some stuff for about 500 dollars tops - cheers mr. salesman!

1k is always a good price for a new box not matter what year... 1k will get you a good pc usually..
