How to change language settings for HL2?

I live in Italy but I read that the HL2 italian translation it's not so well done. So, I'm willing to play the game in English. Is it possible?

Yup, I belive it's been said that if you leave Steams Language setting on English it will dl those files rather than the Italian ones. Steam goes by your Steam settings rather than checking Windows language. (hopefully) If it's easy to switch back and forth between the two I don't know. If it's like the games I get here you might need to reinstal to change the language version.

I don't know! Are you sure that the language used in the game is the same selected for the Steam interface? I have a notebook with Windows XP (english edition) and HL plays in english even if I selected italian for the steam interface...

That's wierd. I set my Steam language to Italian the other day, and all the games localised into Italian automatically.

GMC they didn' say it's poor but that english is better recited
