I'm hesitantly posting this, hoping that you won't ban me on the spot, as a kind of confession of humility towards Valve.
Foebane around here was known as being a Doom 3 advocate, and absolutely badmouthing everything to do with HL2, but I've HAD A CHANGE OF HEART.
I've played HL2 again and realised how great it is, not so much for the physics, but because of the Combine, which I consider a very interesting enemy.
As you may have noticed, I've also bought and enjoyed HL2:Ep 1, which is more Combine-oriented than HL2 was. Great game.
I thought for a while of ditching all Valve games, but I realised I missed a few of them, like Counter-Strike and TFC. Notice my delight that I could download them all on my existing Steam account and enjoy them as I used to, just like that.
And Steam. Stop badmouthing it, those of you that do, because I have had no problems with it and I think it's great.
