I got up for work this morning and amazingly that was at about 8am GMT! So, what do I do? Start up HL2 of course 
I was happily playing along the first level when I realise the time. I had to go to work and now I have to wait until tonight until I can play again.
The worst part is that as I was leaving the flat my girlfriend starts playing it! Lucky for her she is a student and she can spend all day playing it if she wants to
