I need help designing a website, completely unrelated to HL2 or modding.

I will pay you.

I'm looking for several people who are willing to code a steady social-networking site. I believe I have a few ideas that will make this website a very successful one.

I can't post here what it is exactly that'll make this website special, but if you are interested PM me and I will let you in on the project.

I need people who

- Can work with programming/coding a webpage (featuring functions such as those on Myspace: I.E., being able to find people using search criteria, being able to build an engine that will allow to build profiles... et al)
- Can work with designing a webpage.

I know it sounds "0MG ANOTER SOCILA NETWORKING SITE OOLOLO" but I can guarantee you this could be big, with your help.

have you started designing the system yet ? , what server side scripting language are you going with ? , i would love to contribute to the project but i need to know a little more about the structure.
edit: i realize you probably aren't a programmer but i was just wondering if you had put the plans down , written up a design doc etc.

I have started designing a rough design of the site today. I don't know anything about scripting languages at the moment :S but if you can elaborate on what this is, please do so.

How do you think you can contribute?

well i've been practising php and ajax for most of the summer so i think i would be able to contribute a bit to the programming end of the project. but a project of this magnitude really needs to be designed by someone who is familiar with software patterns and such so the design is streamlined and optimized. you have a lot of things to consider like:
what server side language to use - the scripting language that will power the logic being the various "engines" as you like to call them.
when the website should be released to the public - do you want to release it as a beta/alpha and then build upon it (release early release often)
what funds do you have to support such a startup ? - most online startups require a great deal of capital for server space , bandwidth and basic maintenance . most of them are supported by angel investors or venture capital groups ... might want to look into that...
do you want to make the site extensible so that it has an open api for people to write plugins ? .
and the list goes on ...
edit: i know you've probably given this a lot of thought but i just wanted to give my two cents worth .
