I Need Help!

Ok, im a huge fan of Half Life, i beat it like four times. BUt hlaf life 2 has me stumped, again! first it was the darned turbo on the buggy to get over the huge bridge on highway 17, but past that, now it is in the Sandtraps. I just killed the big momma-bug. i get the pheromones, but the darned vrodian thingy just stands there. he doesnt move, doesnt say anything and doesnt open any door. i have no clue on how to go about this. i have reloaded the chapter several times, and quickloaded like a hundred! i would really like to get back to the game! if anyone has any help i would appreciate it!

Have you gotten past the part where you practice with the pheremones?

Please be more descriptive, and post screenshots.

Also, I don't think this is the proper place to ask for help with HL2.

Yeah, sorry. I do not have any screenshots unfortunately. BUt i can be more specific. No, i have not practiced with them. He tells me to pick them up, i do, and then nothing. He just stands there like i need to do something but i do not know. I assumed from what i read before and after i posted this is that you get the Ant Lions to follow you and he will let you through, but i can not even find any Ant Lions. But, like i said, he doesnt say anything after i pick up the pheromones...so yeah. sorry if this is still to vague. ill see if i can get some screenshots for you...

Have you walked up to the door, which is visible in the first screenshot? That's where you're supposed to go next. I don't remember getting stuck there, however - I just followed ugly around. Maybe if you go up to the door it will prompt him into action.

You don't need to do anything else other than pick up the pods and go through the door.

Your suppose to follow him now. I think it's behind him in the second screen to the left.

I know i am supposed to follow him, thats the thing, he doesnt move at all. He just stands there like a dumbass. he doesnt say anything or do anything. the door wont open and he just sits there...thanks anyways though. if anyone else has any idea why this is happening or how i can fix it i would appreciate it... oh, and i already tried noclip to just walk through the door and it didnt work...its been about three and a half hours now that i have been stuck trying to get the ugly little bastard to move...
