Why are some (if not most) of the textures incredibly detailed. And then some of them look a lacking in detail (especially dusts textures) Idk but it seems like you walk into one room and ur like holy crap look at the attention to detail, and the next its like...it looks like hl1. Can anyone explain this to me?
 
Remember Cs:s's gfx are no where near as good as Hl2's. But i see what you mean. Dont think it looks like hl1 tho.
 
How detailed can dust or sand be? hehe
It looks very good for a sandy map.
 
because if every part off everymap wa a detail texture then your FPS would go to hell. I for one wish ever texture was crappy and flat, but thats because i like playing online game, not watching slidshows of online games.

sounds like your either using a voodoo2 video card or using a 14.4k dial-up. most people arent seeing a slideshow :cheese:
 
I thought the graphics are like the same in CS:S as HL2?
