I've noticed a lot of people posting about BINKs and such on the forums recently. Personally, I don't want to look at them; the only media for HL2 that I've looked at are screenshots and an E3 2003 teaser. I'm pretty much trying to keep from spoiling as little as possible. Although I've heard talk of the G-man, trainstation, trapdown, and other such videos, I've managed to keep my prying eyes from watching them. I was wondering if anyone else is trying to avoid the mass marketing and extremely minor spoilers like I am.

Personally I don't really care if I see any media execpt the script. In my eyes people are hyping the game up way too far. Its a game and if its fun thats fine, I have no bar that it has to reach. Many people here say oh its the best graphics, best physics, best yadyada. Honestly who cares, its the story and the ambiance that makes the game.

Halflife was such a kickass game cuz it was just a game that came out and people started to play. Its exaclty like The Matrix. The first one had nothing to live up to and could do anything it wanted to cuz it didnt have to copy something else. Just like the first halflife. Now comes HL2 and all these people are going to be pissed cuz of something that is not exactly like HL. Its clear, look at CS souce. These idiots complain after they get the damn beta. If you want CS 1.6 then play it, otherwise let it die.

Last rant, "dont worry its beta"......Sorry people, I've beta tested for Diablo 2, WWIIonline, Warcraft3 etc etc and I can tell you things barely change. Don't say every gameplay/"i dont like this" issue is because its beta, since the only things that will get changed are the bugs. Yes CS is different since they have people tweaking the gameplay but damn.

Don't forget your +10 Willpower attire (full plate?) over it. But yeah, I'm avoiding the spoilers too. Looked at a few screenshots and the 2 E3 movies and that's it.
