I'm sorry to even post this, but I don't know where to look up the solution. I'm using XSI and have two separate shapes (a heavily modified cube and half a cylinder) and I want to weld them together. I have a hole cut in the square where I want the half cylinder to stick out, and I want to weld the points in the corners together, effectively making them one object. XSI won't let me weld those points. How do I tell the program I want the shapes to be in the same wire mesh?

ok you need to select both the objects and do create>polymesh>merge. and delete freeze ops. now you can weld the points together by holding alt while using the move point tool (m)

I'll reuse this thread rather than make a new one.

Now I'm trying to move the pivot point in XSI, but it will only snap to semi-important vertices in my mesh, not anywhere I want. What feature do I turn off to make the pivot point wherever I want it to be?
