at the spot where they give you the three auto guns in the room. is there a trick where you place the guns or is there a differnt way out?

Place two on one side, and one on the other, and go back and forth picking them up with your gravity gun. Make sure you have plenty of ammo, because eventually you'll need it

Easier way to save health and ammo, turn the turrets around in the cabinets they came from, face them outwards, back yourself into the remaining open cabinet between the guns, just wait for all hell to break loose, fire a shotgun shot now and then at a Combine head as the confused Combine battle the turrets.

there are a number of interesting tactics for this one. One I worked out is to use the filing cabinets from the guardroom before you jump down from the balcony. Just place these infront of one of the entrances, and no combine will get through and hassle you from that door, making you cope easier with the three turrets. Aside from that, you could simply haul one of the two turrets from the previous turret encounter.

also... always remember to add cover to the turrets(cabinets, boxes, etc.). The combine soldiers are agile and if they reach the turret... they smack it down and ur dead meat.
