Is any1 gonna buy the orange box for ps3?

I will be getting the PS3 version!


I won't be upgrading my PC anytime soon, infact I don't intend on using it for games as I have so often in the past! I have Half Life 2 and Episode One on the PC and they are great, thing is my PC isn't up to spec to make them look as great as they can do!!!

I won't be buying the Orange Box for PS3 if EA construct another shody port!

The question is freakyflor are you buying it yourself?

lol my pc is also to weak and i also played hl2 and ep1 on pc and yes i'm gonna buy it on ps3 (but first i will read a ps3 review)
so plz buy it on ps3 (so i wont be alone on the tf2 servers :) )
 
Will get the x360 version. Im happy the port is done by valve and not by EA (who have done the ps3 version and there are already some frame rate problems). Im also getting the pc version off course

lol, I've only bought around 12 pc games in my life. hl:1, hl:OP, hl:BS, hl2, hl2:ep1, hl2: the orange box. 50% are half life games :smoking:

Ohh I'll be getting it for PS3 for sure. But same as you, I'm gunna check out a handful of reviews to make sure I'm not wasting my cash before I go buy. If the gripes are strong in the reviews then I may rent a copy from Blockbuster to decide!

Don't forget that the PS2 Half Life was reagarded as (In my opinion - as I own the PC and PS2 games) the best version, not that it matters really as Valve won't touch the PS3 for the Orange Box (Damn EA)!:frown:

I love my PC and I have had over 10 years of fantastic gaming (Terminator Future Shock 1995-STALKER), but I think the PS3 will one day be regarded for what it is. They just released it one year too early with little games to sell with it:frown:

(Recently rented FEAR for PS3, I own the PC version but wanted to see truly how bad it was on the console. The framerate wasn't as bad as described actually, my PC ran it much more jerky, but I still got some enjoyment from it. It just felt like playing a smoother & slightly less graphical PC shooter on the PS3 which is in effect, no bad thing):|
 
It would be a bit daft of me considering I don`t own a PS3 would'nt it ?
 
im getting it. i was only going to get it on ps3 but it got delayed so now i cant resist getting it on pc first
 
If the ps3 version suckz i'm gonna rob a bank (or a pc-store) for a new pc (i'm serious)
 
As you just said, I'll also have to do something about my PC if the PS3 version is flawed!

I had so many problems with my 5900XT and Half Life 2 to begin with (Holes in textures and stripes of colour flying from NPC's), things are ok now but the game looks OLD as there's no DX9 support for my Graphics card! Tryed upgrading to 6800ultra a few years back, but t'was me mother board that was honkin, damn SiS based fish and chipset! :sniper:

I have an idea of a good PC to buy, but I don't want Vista. I can buy the machine without an operating system and partition Vista on 250 gigs with XP on the remaining 250 gigs. Or just install XP????

I'll only buy a new PC if the PS3 orange box is problematic though!!!!!!!!!!
 
Just watching some Portal footage on Gametrailers.com, I noticed at the start that the developer commentating says something along the lines of 'Here we have Portal running on the PS3'

It looks fine to me, no major framerate issues!

Just need to see how Ep2, Ep1 and Hl2 are running on the PS3 and I can make my decision?!

Ouch, just a taster from Gabes rabid foaming mouth:

"Investing in the Cell, investing in the SPE gives you no long-term benefits. There's nothing there that you're going to apply to anything else. You're not going to gain anything except a hatred of the architecture they've created", Newell told Edge magazine.

"I don't think they're going to make money off their box. I don't think it's a good solution."

Despite his negative reactions to PS3, Newell says that he thinks PS3 owners who buy The Orange Box are going to be happy with their game experience and that EA - which is handling the PS3 version - will make it a good product.

"But I think it's harder to get it to the same standard as the 360 and PC versions", Newell said.

maybe he is wright but as long as he keeps porting his great games to the ps3 the're is no problem (and as long as it are good ports).
 
I may actually get it on the 360 even though I've got it on PC... I don't know why though...
