I did that screen after ambush on high diff wrr...

Oh God look at all that... stuff! You should have moved it next to the HEV and health chargers for maximum effect.

::Imagines a huge pile of supplies collected from all the games together in one place::

Not very hard, even on hard, but the first time certainly killed me. When you play through again you are ready and it's very easy.

First time: Won without a hitch, Also took time to complete Most of the achievements.

Second time: Died every level. EVERY LEVEL. Guess I was just so bored. The day I played it was a boring day.

Third time: See first time.

When I first started playing this game if I fought a battle particularly poorly or if I was unable to kill a shotgun wielding combine before he reduced me to 12 health I would reload my previous save. Now if I screw up I just march forward. It doesn't make the game much more difficult but I'll find more use for the ample med kits strewn everywhere.

Did you spawn all that stuff, or pile it up there from the entire surrounding area?

I took it from White forest inn without cheats.

Yeah I used to do that whenever I accidently blew myself up with a smg1 grenade (small unexpected obstruction in my face or whatever)

But now I act as if nothing happened, minus the 80 armor point loss :hmph:

I nearly died at the White Forest Inn ambush, and died multiple times during the Strider battle. Other than that... no.

No, Hl2 games are very relaxing to play, while you listen to characters explain objectives, situations or events you sit back and take in every word they are saying.

This is then supported by kicking combine arse.

The strider battle wasn't relaxing at all.

Especially when you save the sawmill. Takes quite a bit of skill.

The great thing about Half-Life is that though the games are not particullarly difficult, it still feels rewarding when you finish a battle, and the white forest inn is an example of that. I don't know if it is because of what the other NPC's say or because of the music.

P.S: I don't know why but the second time was slightly harder for me, I had to reload more times

there are tough moments,I died a few times at White Forest Inn(I focused on sniper the hunters over shooting the soldiers)
once at the chopper battle(I didn't know the lookout tower collapsed)
and many times at the Strider battle(I focused on hunters again)

I liked the white forest inn battle, because i felt as though I was in real danger. but at the end, I still had about 50 hitpoints. :I You never really need hardly any of the medkits...

The chopper battle was one of the easiest parts of the game in my opinion. And the final battle, though it's visually stunning, it wasn't that hard to be a final battle

I thought it was hard. I died once before the huge wave of striders and three times after the big wave. Battling the striders while fending off the hunters is difficult if you ask me

I'm not saying it is easy, but it is not as hard as the final battle of a game like this should, in my opinion (unless you are trying to do the neighbourhood achievement, you can get through it without much complications, even on hard). I think there were portions of the game which were more difficult.

My first and only time was so annoying because of all my deaths over stupid things that shouldn't have happened...and the damned Hunters. I have yet to play it a second time so I can't say it's easy until I do. Hence, it was hard.

Every time I die in HL's 2nd and episodes it is caused by:
*Lucky nade
*Prop Physic
*Random shotgun tandems :D

Getting headshotted by the strider minigun on hard has quite a respectable ouch factor, I must admit.

100/100 to 43 in 3 shots

played on normal difficulty - i thought the white forrest battle was quite hard,
until i got the hang of shooting the sticky bombs better.
When i finished the battle , the saw mill and other big building had been destroyed and the striders were close to the silo.

HL2 series fail in only one thing - lack of challenge..

Not really hard at all, but then again, HL2 deathmatch teahces you a lot of things. Those people who play the game in the vids at IGN.com are really n00bs, because they have to be open to all other sorts of games, you know?
