Very few coop HL2 mods out there.

The best you can do is GMod servers.

Well, we have:
Obsidian Conflict (More Sven Coop-style maps, although you can play through a number of HL2 maps I think)
Synergy, with which you can play all of HL2 in coop.

Both are pretty popular tbh

I have my doubts that the mod will ever see the light of day. The new version of the original SvenCoop was supposed to be out what, 2 years ago? And HL2 has been out nearly 3 years.

Eh, "Hero" FPS's don't lend itself well to co-op. Though I do think PC needs moar co-opz

tried to join a half life 2 coop map once, but my latencies for such maps always exceeds 1000.
