Just wondering if there is anyway to get songs from the purchased music of iTunes onto a CD seems as they are protected...Which is really annoying.

I thought that it would help reduce piracy and all but it doesnt if you still cant listen to your songs where and when you want (unless you have an iPod of course)

Yes, they are protected. Yes, there is a way to bypass that protection.

No... you are allowed to burn them to CD, a limited number of times... make sure you follow the instructions

Actually, the policy seems to be that you can burn the same playlist only a certain number of times. Alter it and it will work again, in my experience.
I rip them back onto my comp in mp3 when I need it anyway, since I have the CD hanging around.

just burn them to a cd then import them again. the loss in quality won't be too noticable provdided you only do it once, or better still use a lossless format.

Or just use JHymn.

Or don't bother with shitty, low-quality, over-priced iTunes in the first place! ;)
