Episode #1 "Red Dawn"
9:23 AM August 12th 2026. Denver, Colorado (City 31-A)
August, the month in which the planet knows it's about to go cold and throws you warmth and bad weather. Ha warmth. I haven't remember warmth since the Combine kicked our ass in the seven hour war. You hear old soldiers, the last soldiers talk about it like they almost beat the Combine. They almost broke through there defense, almost. But in reality they had us beat before we even knew we were under attack. It wasn't a war. Slaughter that's what it was. The worlds air defense's were obliterated in the 3rd hour. Our Navy gone in the 5th. Infantry was the last before our "surrender". How did Breen survive the war in the first place? He sure sold us out though .
I was two years too young to fight in the war. But my brother Dresden wasn't. He didn't make it. Most outside the City's didn't. It was the alien wild life or the Combine, which ever it was it was hard to survive the war or the Storms out side the city. Dresden and I fled to Denver shortly after the Portal Storms started. A lot of the people we traveled with were picked off by Bullsquids, Antlions and Houndeyes. Or had there body's taken over by Headcrabs. But we were fast and me and Dres had a knack with rifle's thanks to our dad and about twenty three Deer. There aren't many Deer around now. Not much of anything...normal.
(Shots are fired in the distance)
That's our alarm clock now days. Mourning executions. Mostly Citizens who did nothing to upset "Our Benefactors" but you need someone to make an example of don't you? Sounds like there using AR2's. They usually switch weapons every few days. Some are fighting back. though. Good luck to them.
Just something I takd out. I know it sucks but I felt like doing it. If you like it I might do more. I'm thinking of doing it about the start of the Lambda resistence.
