"...the soldier cocked his gun and started to raise it, but just as I thought my final
moment had come - the door flew open and the closest guard fell
to the ground with a loud "bang" ringing in my ears"
- "What was that "bang", grandpa?, the young boy asked while pulling the old man's sleeve.
- "Well, that was just the sound from the gun being fired, it's very loud you see."
- "So..where was I, yes.. the second of our captors reached for his gun,
but before he had the chance to
shoot he was squashed against the wall by a large wooden box.
When our until then unseen saviour entered the little shed he just stood there,
and said nothing..."
- "Who was it grandpa?"
- "Yes, yes, I'm coming to that boy."
- "Well, as I said, he just stood there not saying a word, at first
I didn't recognize him and for a moment I thought that we had escaped one enemy just to
be captured by another. But then I saw who it was..."
- "yes?", the youngsters eyes where wide open.
- "...his name was Gordon. Gordon Freeman.", the old man smiled and nodded towards his grandson
- "Nooooo??"
- "Yes, the very same as in the books", he said as his smile grew wider.
Just a bit of fun
