Yeah I know how this has nothing to do with HL2 directly, but it does have something to do with Source.
But what do you guys think will happen with the licensing of the engine? The first game is already in a progressed state and not too far from release, the new Vampire game. They have probably made changes to the source code, but in general, how much and is it enough to prevent exploits?
It was also said in an interview that there were other developers working with Source but not yet confirmed to the public yet.
Will HL2 exploits have effects on future Source games? For instance, do UT exploits have effects on games based on that engine?
Will that be enough for developers to chose another engine for their games? And how much money is involved in licensing for Valve?
