From IMDB:

Lindsay Lohan is the favorite to play the lead in an upcoming film about Stevie Nicks[/B]. The Mean Girls star will act and sing in the movie, which will focus on the Fleetwood Mac star's wild years in the late 1970s and early 1980s. An industry insider tells American publication Life & Style, "She feels like she's found a dream role in a story about Stevie Nicks at the height of Fleetwood Mac's fame. Lindsay loves the music of that era, and people have told her she has the same distinctive gravelly voice as Stevie's." Lohan, who also hopes to produce the biopic, even has a leading man in mind - her Chapter 27 co-star Jared Leto, who is slated to play Nicks' on/off lover Lindsey Buckingham.

That may just be the most insulting casting choice ever.

OMFG...I feel depressed about this now. I'm sorry, but Stevie Nicks voice is far superious to Lohans any time of day. Gah..she better do a good damned job at this movie, or I'll go postal. Fleetwood Mac is my all time favorite band.

Only in Hollywood can you get a job based on your popularity* instead of the quality of your work.

*In this case, the "famous for being famous" factor, ala Paris Hilton.

Few things make me feel old, and that was one. I like some of their stuff, less so of others. Rumors was a good album.

My friend got a friend request from Lindsay Lohan's actual myspace. Unfortunately, its blocked so I can't see any of the good stuff D:

Stevie Nicks! Woo!

Interesting fact: in Guantanamo Bay, prisoners are frequently forced to listen to albums by an all-girl Fleetwood Mac cover band.

A survey showed that 50% of presumed terrorists described the experience 'pleasant', with only 10% calling it 'satanistic' and a tiny 1% committing suicide.

Now if that same band would cover Enter Sandman, they'd have the ultimate torture device at their disposal :|

at first I thought ..ok this thread is a little over the top, she's annoying but not really kill worthy ...then I read who she was going to play ..OMG have they set a date for her public flogging and execution yet? cuz I wanna attend

absinthe: listen to their album Rumours ..one of the best albums of the 70's and in rock in general

wow lohan playing Nicks is like Don Knotts playing Batman

I'm astonished some people have never heard of Fleetwood Mac. Well, they probably don't know the band, but damn I'm sure they know some songs. Especially The Chain. I think that is one of their better songs.

And I don't think Edge of Seventeen is going to be in here, since she wasn't in Fleetwood Mac at the time of creating this song.

some old band...my dad thinks they are great.

Hey, my dad thinks that too. I think Fleetwood Mac are the ultimate "dad band". Though I will admit they did make some awesome music. "Go Your Own Way" is a classic tune and "The Chain" for that riffy part at the end.

My dad got me hooked on em. We were driving along, he popped in his Fleetwood Mac casette...and it was history from there. I think Rumours was their best album, personally.
