I'll make this simple... What is lost week.

The Lost week is when Gordon and Alyx attempt to teleport to Kleiners lab from the exploding Nova Prospekt teleport but it goes awry and they end up away from the events of the world for a week.

After Nova Prospekt was obliterated, the resistance took it as the sign to begin a citywide rebellion. So it has great potential as mod material.

I think it's still debatable how much of Nova Prospekt was destroyed. It wasn't that big of a teleport, and although it went out with a bang I think it would have only taken out the depot (there was more than one depot, however) and a small area of the central prison.
