I was wondering if it was possible to make a map (minus the entities and such) in 3ds max then import it to hammer? since I have no idea how to do some of the things I could do easily in 3ds max.
i'm pretty sure you can do this. but i think physics or something gets a little screwed up, im not sure. i saw something in valves docs that said not to makea whole level in a modeler, don't know why. try a test level and see how it turns out.
you guys wouldn't happen to know what codec it needs would you? and also how would I exactly go about exporting the max file into hammer, is there anythign fancy involved or just saving it as a certian file type and importing it into hammer.
