Man found bound gagged impaled on pole

A man was found gagged, tied to a tree and impaled by a fence pole in North York, initial police reports suggest.

The man was reportedly breathing and able to speak, but no other details of his condition have been released.

A woman found the man who told her he was bound and robbed, according to media reports.

Emergency crews may have to uproot the pole and leave it in the victim as he is transported to hospital.

jebus that's crazy ..what makes it worse is that it happened in my city in an area I've driven through hundreds of times. They need to catch these psychos before they impale someone else ....which would be ok if they were playing Age of Conan but hey this is real life!!! perhaps they were inspired by age of conan? perhaps I'm making a shameless plug for age of conan ..anyways ya impalement = not good

I've heard that in South America there's a form of punishment/torture used by narcos when they want to get information out of someone, called el palo hablar, or 'the talking pole'. What they do is take a hoe and stick it in the ground, so that the wooden handle is sticking straight up. Then they tie a victim's hands and legs together, pull his pants down and sit him on top of it. This story made me wonder if that's what happened, but of course the guy was gagged, so...
