Mic will not work?

What a great game. Having fun. Decided to install a good sound card and headset with mic. Test the mic with various recording software and it works fine. In the game under OPTIONS, the tab VOICE allows you to test the mic also. Sounds great. Clear, no hum or static. However, no one can hear me in the game. I can hear other players but they can not hear me. Any suggestions? I'm obviously missing something.

Let's break it down to the simplest possible issue.

Are you pressing the corresponding key to communicate when you do talk? It's usually bound to L. Alt.

Mic will not work

Well duh. Some times I amaze myself with my own stupidity. I never realized that I should hold down a key when I speak. It just makes sense.
Joule I am so sorry to bother you with my dumb brain. I will try it out later and I have no doubt it will work just fine.
This board is very lucky to have people such as your self to help us noob's along.
