Hi everyone,

I have in my hands an idea written to please the modding community. In order for this idea to be realized into a full working mod, the help of the community is needed. Currently i will not go into full details of what the MOD is about, only that it is pretty damn necessary at this point in time.
So basically this is a survey. I just want to know who would be interested in partaking in the creation of this MOD?

Artists, 3D Modelers, Programmers, Map Designers.

Of course all of this being done on the Source engine.

Thanks

How are people supposed to be interested when you don't say ANYTHING about the mod?

Well, it's certainly an original approach- but yeah, you're unlikely to attract much attention if potential members don't know the end goal.

Not sure why people insist on capitalising the abbreviation of "mod" these days...

It's real easy. I'm not trying to recruit anyone, i just want to know if there are people out there who are interested. If i get enough responses i will say exactly what it is. I think the title says it all....

Trust me, you have a much better chance of success if you pitch your idea first, and then see if anyone would work on it...

Sure - there are always designers out there who will be interrested in working on a mod, but they will only show interest if there is something worth their attention in the first place. Ideally you should get together with your friends and people you know well, as they will be most dedicated to the project, but otherwise you could try recruiting. Either way, people are unlikely to show interest here as there is in essence no idea or concept for them to get excited about ;)

I'm interested..

the problem with not mentioning your idea is that you may get a lot of interest from people who want to work on A mod but when they find out what it is they arent interested...Then you lose your team and end up here again, or demoralised completely.

Also, you havent mentioned what quality people you need, etc...
