Window problem (Carving)

EDIT: I solved my model problem, but I have a new problem so I just edited this to the new one to avoid spamming up the forum.

I'm trying to make windows out of a hollow cylinder's walls and the carve command seems to do nothing. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I tried selecting the window object (which cuts through the entire wall) and carving, selecting the wall and carving, and selecting both in each order and carving, to no avail..

Yeah. you carve.

CARVE IS BAD!

Use clip too instead. never carve.
