I love Valve. Or I DID rather. As far as I know Gabe IS Valve, if he says something then no one at Valve argues because his word is law. All the Ambiguity (sp?) that led up to this pissed me off. The fact that they stood by their Sept30th Release date (or, never contradicted it) enrages me. They wouldn't say anything untill the last minuet, when they let us down. Did I expect it on time? No. But, then again, I didn't expect Valve's tounge-and-cheek stlye of deception either. I think I am finnaly gonna say what I know lots of people are thinking.

Serves em right...

They aren't loosing money YET, it's not even a real game. The least they could have done was been honest from the start. Or rather than have this stuff leaked they could have given us a playable demo to tide us over till (The Christmas Holiday) (or is it April this time, GABE?).

I don't know where to get the leaked stuff, and I am not asking. If I want it then I will go look for it. I recomend you go look for it too. Get it, explore with it, tinker with it, and be dissapointed by it. It's not the final version (from what I hear it isn't even close). So if you wanna let yourself down (more than Gabe and Valve have by now) then go for it.

Someone once said that Gabe was awsome and that he was the only CEO/PR guy from a Software Company that responds to fan e-mails. Who cares? So many e-mails and so many game specs, and FAQs for what? There STILL is nothing to show for it.

I wanted it to happen, by now, as much as you did... and I guess that is why I am a little jaded by this all.

Nothing is worse than having known the light of your creator once, and now feeling nothing. Kinda makes you wonder, is he gone? Or have I just become numb to his warmth?

The game may well of been released on the 30th if Valves security hadn't been compromised beforehand. However the truth of the matter is we will never know, and frankly given the attitude and skepticism that plagues these forums I doubt any statement that Gabe or Doug could issue outlining the events would ever fully convince the 'community'.

Certainly once Valve established the facts regarding the hacks they didn't have any hesitation in informing the community that the game wouldn't make the 30th. Everything comes down to speculation, but there is no logical motive for Valve 'deceiving' the community about the release date.

I certainly hope that all the WHINING(!) would stop.
We'll all buy the game, wether it comes out April or even December next year. The more time they'll use the more improved will the game be. Rushing out things just because the fans whine never lead to any good.
