Lo guys, I'm a huge fanatic of NATO vs Warsaw Pact games, stories etc(Read Red Storm Rising by Tom Clancy, great book!) and I was wondering if you guys got any to recommend.. It doesn't necessarily have to be between these forces, but just with these equipments.
It can be whatever genre you'd like aslong as it's warbased, i.e. not adventure.. RPGs go too.. Flight sims etc are also liked, but preferably ones that aren't all too hard to get into.
Thanks for any tips.
Worth noting is that I have Operation FlashPoint, seeing as I guess that's what most people'd recommend first..
I'm particulary looking for games sort off like Super-VGA Harrier which is a real flight sim, but you can act as commander for all the forces and just spectate the results, if you kinda follow me.:)

Thanks for any help

No-one? Comeon people, someone must know something!*Begins to cry*
Worth noting is OFP mods work too, preferably ones that are dynamic tho, so they last a bit.

I don't know what a NATO vs. Warsaw game is.. hehe. but I have na idea of what your looking for.

NATO = North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, a military alliance formed by the Brits, Americans, French, West Germans and a load of others in the early 50s as a response to the beginning of the Cold War. If one member of NATO got attacked, all the others would be bound to help out.

The Warsaw Pact was the Soviet copy-cat equivalent established a few years later, comprising the whole Soviet Union, most of Eastern Europe and (maybe) Cuba (?).

Yeah, so basically it can be the americans vs the russians.:)
Doesn't have to be NATO vs Warsaw.

Theres not much information on the net, but a new game being created by Massive Entertainment (Ground Control games) called World in Conflict, which is a fictional setting during the 80's revolving the heightened tensions between the two main super powers, though you will be able to play as any powers that are allied with either of these countries.

Its described as an RTS take on Counterstrike, where you will choose a side, class (will you focus more on infantry, armor, air, etc). The visuals look impressive, I saw them in my latest PCZONE. You purchase you soldiers, etc. and place them in a deployment zone. To defeat the opponent, it is best to coordinate strikes with your fellow allies.

Wow sounds interesting.. Too bad we don't have PCZone over there, the Ground Control games are classics.:)

Well, Defcon is supposed to come out fairly soon.....

And that kinda fits....
