Need help beating last level (end game)

Can anyone give me any tips to beat the last level? I jump off the rising platform to see Breen's globe about to enter the teleport. I fire off maybe 2-3 energy balls directly at the globe and begin to smash up the protective walls around it (Breen even complains once), but a few seconds later he taunts me and is gone. I've tried a bunch of times but there just isn't enough time to bring it down. Anyone have any tips?

Also, is there a console command to either cheat this level or to play the final end-game sequence? I'm afraid I may need it if I can't destroy Breen.

You just got to keep firing those ball at him as fast as you can, dont stop until kaboom!

what happens is you travel all the way up to the top, where you can see alyx through the glass. then you fight the 2 gunships. then you fire the energy balls at the center which is all perttyful and bright. these weird shield things should appear, knock all of 'em away with more energy balls. then fire one last energy ball to the oh-so-bright center, breen gets pwnd, and the final story sequence begins.

Thanks for the help, but unfortunately, I don't have enough time. Not sure what's going on, but I can only get a few shots off and Breen is saying good-bye! There's no time to move around, shoot at the ships or anything.

I don't think I'm doing anything wrong. I jump onto the platform, grab the energy balls (as fast as I can) and fire them directly at Breen inside the globe. There just doesn't seem to be enough time. He's gone in about 10 seconds.

Any special place to stand or to aim, or any other tips? If not, I think I need to find a way to play the end-game sequence from a cheat/console code!

Don't shoot at Breen, shoot at the teleporter (it opens once you reach the top). Make sure you get right to the top as fast as you can, you should have plenty of time if you get there in time.

Just do what everyone is saying. There is plenty of time to finish him off.

You must be taking too long to get to the top.

Start again at another autosave, blast through the combine quick as you can, dont spend time firing balls at them, blow then away with your grav gun.

Yeah, like the others say, you need to do the whole bit of climbing the chamber a little faster.
