Need help with the Xbox 360 Controller & Half Life 2

I'm having a problem trying to use the Xbox 360 controller with Half Life 2 for PC. I copied and pasted the appriate files but it seems that the buttons would work for about a minute or less then they don't respond. Only the jump button works. Dosn't anyone have problems using the Xbox 360 controller?

Yes. I have severe problems working out why anyone in their right mind would want to use a Joypad for a First Person Shooter unless they were forced too. Plugging the controller back into your 360 where it belongs and using your keyboard and mouse will make your life about 129% better.

Otherwise I can't help you (and because few people use any controller to play a FPS, you're going to have a tough time finding anyone who can). Does it work for other games that it actually makes sense to use it in?
