Need info on Team deathmatch

Sup, I need to know how to make my HL2 Deathmatch server into a Team Deathmatch server. I tryed and cant seem to do it would someone plz help me asap.

mp_teamplay 1 in console and restart the map


or rcon_password "whateveryourrconpasswordishere"

then after typing the pw type rcon mp_teamplay 1 and restart the map.

Ok i see but how do i set it up in the control panle so it will stay team deathmatch and not change back to deathmatch?
