In light of certain other mods posting slightly frivilous news ;) this might brighten your day :D :

The back story:

You might remember Cerberus posted some concept art:
http://halflife2.homelan.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15871

He also headed over to our forums and posted a friendly challenge poll thingie:
http://www.neotokyohq.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1594#1594

The above is what came out of pushBAK's demented mind hehe. And no Neotokyo and Corporate Anarchy are not combining lol.

Be on the look out for a media blast with at least one new skinned character model and several skinned weapons soon :D. Actually while I'm here wasting your time... here's some not-skinned model shiz:

The Tachi handgun:

TACHI-02.jpg

Primary fire mode is semi-automatic along with a alt-fire full auto mode (which empties the magazine like there's no tomorrow - but useful for desperate situations). Uses sub-caliber high velocity ammunition for the ultimate in penetration charactistics. Model by me... ~1500 tris.

Cool I love your 2d art.

This is definately one of my fav mods at the moment. Eventhough I'm not a big anime fan ;)

Keep up the good work :D

:afro:

very nice stuff, only one crit tho, 1500 tris for such a low-poly weapon is alot, you can make it look mush better with 1500 tris imHo + it's missing a hammer and the safty is not modeled also :p , still could use some more work

Thanks guys, the drawing purely a joke and won't be used for anything.

Simon it's obvious this weapon is single-action so no external hammer needed, and the safety is right above the front of the trigger guard. You should learn a few more things about guns :p

lol, that is not the safty, that's a holder to open the weapon slider, the safty is in the back, and wtf is single action ? every weapon needs a hammer or the bullet stays in the gun ;) (and if it's single action, then why do you have a 15 orso ammoclip), oh and don't make me prove i'm right.. cause i am :p

The saftey is located, right where I said it was, here's hint, it's a cylinder. Notice I said there's no external hammer - as for what single action means...

Single Action means, that the Revolver must be manually cocked (and, thus, the cylinder is rotated to the next cartridge) for each shot. This mode was the only one available in all old-time revolvers (such as the Peacekeeper), and is still available in most double-action revolvers. This mode improves accuracy but slows the fire rate. For Semi-autos, Single Action means that the pistol must be manually cocked for the first shot (usually, this is done by pulling the slide - this action cocks the hammer and feeds a cartridge into the chamber). For the second, and all consecutive shots, cocking is done automatically, when recoil force pulls back the slide.

Have you ever fired a gun in your life? :p

no, i must be very stupid, you are 100% correct.. NOT!, but ok, you live in your own little fantasy world, ill stay in mine, have fun ;)

Guys stop flaming.

Or this thread goes bye.

Nice 2d art, I love it :)

btw, did you guys merge with Corporate Anarchy?

Simon if I'm wrong prove it, I don't know everything there is to know about fire arms but I at least know the basics :p You seem to believe that all semi-auto handguns have external hammers... go to a gun shop when you have some free time :D. Any way my advice is to stop pretending to be an expert on things you are not. I don't don't think your stupid, but I do think you over estimate what you know ;).

EDIT:

Ok I won't flame any more. Hehe.

Naw we haven't combined, CA are friendly rivals :D

lol flaming ?
relax badger ;)
and Grey, why don't you just show me a gun that doesn't have one ? just one :)
or show me your reference pic you used for the gun you modeled

OK, checking them out, the FN guns are made in my country and i didn't know that .. so god damn LOL, looks like they are making some handguns with a hammer (i didn't know that) ill model a FN handgun for my mod, will make my work ALOT easyer with the hammer :) hihi
but the safty is also on the back in the Ruger, not all of the guns do it like that i see, but most do :)
eh, whatever, but still, your model can have more details with 1500 triangles :)) *evil grin*
