In the Aeroplane Over the Sea is one of my all time favorite albums. I can listen to them over and over and stil love every second of it.

Anyone else fans of them?

I've been listening to that for the last few weeks but I still can't get my head around the album. On the one hand it's fantastically loud and energetic whilst it appears to be mainly just a guy shouting with an acoustic guitar, but on the other end nothing much jumps out at me.

I got it on the recommendation of that bloke who fronts Brand New, who too said it was a beautiful album.

I need more time alone with it...

Antipop, it grows on you, just as you would expect it to. On Avery Island is a good album as well although I wouldn't say it's quite in the same league of awesome as In the Aeroplane Over the Sea. I like NMH a lot, but they're not really one of my favorite bands.

I've had it on my computer and just started listening... I really like the song "Holland, 1945".

Difficult. They've never grabbed me but maybe I need to give 'em more time. Also, bit of a rubbish name.

Apparently my most played music.

Is that Syd Barret in your avatar django?

All of my favorite albums have been stunners from the first listen but I can understand an album growing on me, and I'm confident that this will. Listened to it on the way to school today - had a nice 3 mile walk through the woods - and it was wonderful to hear. Listening to it again now and I can't wait to really enjoy it at it's full. He has a fantastic voice.

Listen to Aeroplane in a hammock in warm weather, preferably in a rural area. It will grow on you so much.

Aeroplane is a great, great album, (love to listen to it while driving) but I haven't heard much else from them. Mostly poor recordings, which I can't stand.

So did I. I only just barely enjoyed them to start with, but I like them quite a lot by now.

django, thanks so much for making this thread... I can't stop listening to in the airplane over the sea now... It's SO FREAKIN GOOD. Only took me 10 years to find it...
