New HL2 Weapon?

Hey,

I noticed at the beginning of the "Tunnels" video there was a quick flash of this icon. It shows ten missiles. Do you guys think this is ammo for the rocket launcher or some new weapon mission objective or something?

I would dismiss it as just that, except the rockets look quite a bit longer than the one's you fire in HL1.

Then when Gordon whips out the 'flare gun' he has ten rounds.

The rocket launcher doesn't hold ten rockets... Or atleast you can't carry that many.

It's not the rockets, one of the newer official screenshots floating around had the ammo symbol for the rockets, and it looked nothing like that...

How can something be 'like' a stinger ffs?

It's just a missle launcher then.

THIS is a stinger.

The very thing that makes it a stinger is not present on the HL 2 MLer.

If it is the RPG ammo, then how come those rockets we see in the videos are so small and short unlike that long and slim one there?

Jeez, who said it's for the I-rifle?

In the E3 2004 video, when Gordon bashes a crate open a 20 X small bullet icon appears, and when he switches to the i-rifle, it has exactly 20 rounds. Also, if you notice in the strider scene that icon appears when Gordon goes over to a guy who was using the RPG before the strider uses that blue beam thing.

So that's obviously RPG ammo. That kind of ammo wouldn't fit in the i-rifle anyway!
