ive got pc 3200 and im lookig for 4000 after xmas, any companies that are quality when it comes to ram? newegg links would be great, thanks

You probably won't need PC4000 RAM unless you are an enthusiast overclocker. Even then its not really necessary.

A more important question is how much ram you currently have. If you already have 1 GB, you are all set. If you have less then one GB, you should probably buy some more PC3200 ram.

Also list off your system specs too.

i have 1 gig ram

3500amd 90nm

x800xt pe flash

If money is no issue? Gig of OCZ PC-3200 from newegg.

IF this memory is the memory I think it is (I don't see an 'R2' at newegg)it'll clock up to DDR600 on k8 systems; that's PC-4700 equivalent. It'll attain t1 command rate at 590, and as far as I've seen, is the fastest memory one can buy.
Review here.

If you're not overclocking? Don't worry about it, IMO.

high hz ram like 4000 tends to also have high latency while 3200 and 3500 tends to have the fastest latency (and lower timings overall) and still has the headroom for overclocking like the good OCZ stuff - some discontinued end-of-line ram is actually the most valuable stuff out there with guys paying premium bucks for it
