Ok I'm new to the forum but not to half life, have the whole collection and I've completed the new game within two days of getting it and must say i am abit let down. The first half of the game was lovely, sounds, sights, interaction, storyline it was gripping. The 2nd half rapidly went downhill, the plot thinned out and i was endlessly going through similar rooms, and in the final levels storyline came to a standstill, i barely knew what i was doing there, the last level was particularly horrid, same rooms, textures and opponents it was so samey i quit the game for hours as it was so dim, creativity may have run out for the developers there. I loved the sounds, the ravenholm, loved the expressions and maps as well as problem solving. Where i get stumped is: I am playing through again because i may have rushed some areas. I can't find the OICW which is psoted with picture on the website, i can't find the sniper rifle and i am gutted! I also didnt get a stunstick first time round so how do i get one? My cheat system doesn't work very well either, alot of the cheat codes entered dont do anything such as iceaxe? and stickylauncher? the range of weapons i have so far is:
Nades, crowbar, gravity gun, natural and normal, pistol, 357, smg, infantry rifle, rpg, crossbow, bugbait ans shotgun. i think that's it. Have i gone wrong where do i get the other weapons? Please say that isn't it, because oh dear god all i can give half life 2 out of 10 then is a mere 6/10 as there are jsut too many flaws to add lack of weapons when starting a civil revolt.

Also lack of enemies in this game a great let down. Typical grunts, helicopter, tall thing on legs, headcrabs, screeching zombie, regular zombie and manhacks. I mean the barnacles are few and far between, where are the aliens with a plasma rifle? Where are the acid spitting sewer dwelling octopus faced things? And the icythosaur, the scariest beast in it? Where have they all gone to?
Not to mention the gargantuan? This is what made half life and opposing force so amazing, pitting yourself against A.I and sometimes A.I against A.I. Now all i seem to find are they ridiculous "allies" following me round repeating " follow freeman" about a million f**kin times. Where was the need for it all. Where did it all go so wrong.
