My Valve Experience!

When i went to Valve this past Tuesday, I had lots of fun. Valve is
filled with many nice workers especially the secretary. When i first
arrived there, i talked to Gabe Newell in this small conference room.
He mainly asked why i came to visit valve and why i wanted a tour.
After getting done asking him questions about Half Life 2, and
questions from the hl2central community I proceeded to meet some of the
guys. The first person i met was in charge of getting the design of
the boxes done and the instruction manual. He then showed me shirts
that they are going to be selling after Half Life 2 is done. When he
showed us i asked for a t-shirt and he gave me and my friend Tom 2
shirts and 2 hats. After that Gabe asked me and my friend if we wanted
to play half life 2 and we said sure. While waiting in the room to
play it (took forever to load), we asked other questions about Half
Life 2. Finally when it got done loading i was just amazed at the
start screen i thought it looked really pimp smile.gif. When i first started
the game from the begining you could sense that it was going to be a
very good game. I was mainly picking up boxes and cans and throwing
them around. Not only do you have to use the physic gun to lift up
stuff, but you can use your hands to pick up different things like
trash cans, luggage, cans, etc. The guards that you meet are very
interactive. When you come up to the guard and try to talk to him he
will hit you and you fly back a bit, but it won't affect your health at
all. The other thing in the beginning is these little things that fly
above your head and take pictures of you, and if you look directly at
them, the flash can blind you a bit. When i got through the first part,
because you're not allowed to use your gun, you eventually get one and
then all hell breaks loose. Just lots of guys charging after you and
shooting you, and there are a lot of explosive barrels you can shoot to
blow them up. Another thing i really am looking forward to is the fact
that you have to stack objects sometimes to get onto certain places
which i think is very neat. I am looking forward to this game a lot
and i know you guys will too. That is pretty much all i have to say
about the game. One more thing i would like to add is that Valve is
done from start to finish with the game. All they have to do is add
some more textures and do some more coding to make it look all nice.
They also mentioned that it should be shipped to Vivendi Universial by
August.
