Game looks amazing, I just have 2 small problems with the videos. I noticed them on the E3 vids and its annoying to see the same set peices re-done recently, released again, and STILL have these 2 things...

1) When the crowbar hits the planks on the door on traptown, the wood breaking animation seems to kick in far too early, its like it breaks from nothing, then the crowbar swipes it. Showing the videos to my friends, they were ALL impressed but ALL said "crowbar needs some work" Usually when I Notice small flaws, I ignore it, but when my friends point it out without me asking them to look for it, it's worrying, it must be obvious to most people, and not just me nitpicking wildly!

Another little example would be the switch between getting hit with the "napalm gun" and the guy flaring about in flames...it is instant, the secont the projectile its him he transfers to "im completely on fire" animation, there should be some small transition animation here, or at least flame spreading animation. Even if there was NO animation for a split second after getting hit, and THEN the flames kicked in, it would look better.

Let me get to the point, the animation is great, but the timings and transistions between interactions is screwy.

2)When crowbarring or shooting zombies, they splatter pretty crappy looking green/yellow blood, yet when they are chopped in half, its good old red blood.... maybe I'm missing something here? Perhaps its easier to make red blood look better and more real cause that is what is REAL in REAL LIFE, but I really dont get these yellow decals, they stick out from an otherwise GREAT looking engine. Maybe if they were just re-done in yellow BETTER? (if they have to be yellow)
I was thinking maybe the headcrab has yellow blood and the zombified human still red....but its yellow when he shotguns one in the LEG/MIDRIF....

I dont want to get too critical, cause this game looks like it deserves nothing but praise. I read some of the criticims on here in disbeleif, I don't know how anyone can say bad things about the character animations, lack of engine abilities etc, they are all EXCELLENT, and I know valve will always make an awsome product. But why not bring these up, they are minor minor things, that would take no time at all to fix, does anyone else agree on any of them or am I being too picky?

I'm closing this before you get flamed. Your first nitpick is due to the video recording/playback skipping FPS, your second nitpick is the fact that the effects are just placeholders. Both are known about, both will be fixed.
