no connection

hey... can anyone help me? steam connects to my internet but deathmatch and CS:S dosen't. can anyone help me fix this?

try alt tabbing out to check if your firewall is blocking it...?

thats what I've been trying to do but i cant seem to find my fire wall. i currently dont have any third party firewalls installed, just the one windows comes with and im just switched to xp pro and cant find where the firewall is... the again i never really looked for it on home edition either. where is it?
