Oasis have been named the most successful UK band in the last decade by the guiness book of records, apparently they`ve over 766 weeks in the album and single charts.

Story here:- http://www.nme.com/news/112434.htm

Not bad for a band most people seem to hate nowadays eh?

Oh yeah, for fans of Oasis, radio have a full gig on tonight, with some of their new stuff live. :D

Well done Oasis :D Not really that suprising when you consider that 'the last ten years' just about covers the 95 - 97 period when Oasis could have released a CD of them just talking (Wibbling Rivalry lol) and it would be a success.

They've had a slump in the last few years, but I can so tell this year is gonna be mega.. I've got my tix for the 30th of next month and I'm gonna try get some more too.

Oh yeah, that gig was pretty good.. I liked the fast pace and the loud in yer face-ness of it, but Liams voice was constantly being drowned out (and thusfar his voice is also the only complaint anyone has of the current gigs they've been doing (that and the fairy lights anyway lol))

Oh, and just incase anyone doesn't know Oasis are number #1 in the UK singles charts at the moment! :P /me relishes that fact till the charts are announced next week and 'Speed of Sound' sneaks into the top spot :(

theyre good.. but not that good...

I agree. But you can't argue success. I can't really think of another group that's had the same level of success in the last 10 years from the UK as these guys.

i can't wait til the 13th of july , i'm going to see them in Newcastle.

Nope, seems that crazy b*stard frog is hammering Coldplay 4 to 1 in the charts at the moment, there`s no justice, not keen on Coldplays new single, but I`d rather them hit the top then that novelty crap.

Anyway, back to Oasis.

Oasis are having a mini revival at the moment, some great reviews of the album, full day on Radio1 dedicated to them, no.1 in the charts (well, for now), and they desrve it, they have been criminally underrated for a few years to many.

Yes, they are that good, the figures speak for themselves.

I'm still a mad ferret. I'm going to the Manchester gig on July 3rd. Birthday present from my girl. Gotta love her.

Nope. We don't live in the UK, so we have to pick 'em up at the counter of the stadium. The guy that runs the site where we bought the tickets, is a friend so we'll be fine. We did the same two years ago when Oasis performed at Old Trafford (the cricket stadium, not Man U), and we had no problems at all.

Let's meet in front of the stage, hehehe

hmmm, meeting there could be a little difficult  my missus got mine off e-bay, but she`s lost his contact details so if summay goes wrong where stuffed.

The fella did say that he gets the tickets a month before the gig, and he had 100% positive feedback, so I think we`ll be okay.

hopefully youll get the tickets in time. i just checked ticket prices for my show and theyre only $45, which isnt as bad as i thought they would be.

Heh I've got tickets for the same venue on the 30th ;) Still haven't ****ing turned up though.. See Tickets are taking their bastard time about delivery.

Yeah, but not this decade. :E

What`s so hard to believe? Oasis still sell millions of records, which, for a band that`s 10 years old and people seem to think are past it and "boring" is pretty amazin if you ask me.

Dowie,

Okay, U2 are excellent live. Have you seen Oasis live?
