Oblivion Planes worth exploring?

Let me add another question regarding Azura's Star to my previous post - when I have it, can I basically not bother about soul gems anymore? Cause if I can use it to enchant items and as a battery for a sword I wanted to make (reinforcing magicka by 50 on strike), then that's sweet
