ya a guy in a baseball uniform came up to me awhile ago and said "if you post it they will come"

Too bad you have to pay for the soundtrack :(. Oh well. I'm gettin the game soon anyway YAY! :)

actually if the wa the music works is anything like in morrowind I think you can simply burn it from the music directry on to a CD( you could simply have custom music by dropping mp3s in that directory, but I don't remember if the original music was in mp3 format though)... I'm getting the CE though which comes with the soundtrack so it's no big deal.

PriNcE oF SpAcE, sorry to dissappoint you mate, but there's no soundtrack on the CE.

The second disc is NOT the soundtrack, but only features things like concept art, renders, screenshots and such and a behind-the-scenes documentary.
No soundtrack on there.
But as previously stated, if it's like Morrowind, you'll be able to easily "rip"'em from the game and burn'em to a CD.

constantly amazed at just how much work has gone into this, Bethesda put every other game dev to shame.

Meh, seems like everyone here on this forum are overhyping the game. Don't get me wrong, I'll probably enjoy it but it certainly doesn't appeal to me as the end-all game or greatest dev's ever.

Well of course not..it's just that with over 250 Hours of gameplay, it's got to be a bit exciting..finally a game that will last more than a week.

Actually the soundtrack, that you hear on the site is a different one than in the game. It's been re-done to listen to rather than playing it along with the game, it even says on the site itself.

EDIT: OOPS! Double post!

Morrowind has an awesome song in it. Click Morrowind then click Listen then select 01.

There are precious few games I would pay to get the soundtrack for like Monkey Island, Fate of Atlantis, The Dig, Tron 2.0...stuff like that. Luckily its all free now or easy to get from the game files! Hopefully this will be true with Oblivion as well. The Dig soundtrack that you can buy is quite different from the one from the game files too, so maybe I will be buying this one anyway.

Question.... wont the music files be on the actual game disk? So it would be like you have the soundtrack already.

Tell me where the Monkey Island soundtrack can be found and I will buy you a deluxe ticket on Big Whoop.

amazing, the sound track is at the level of LORD OF THE RINGS movie soundtracks

whoops you're right...guess I just got confused because you can buy the Oblivion soundtrack already(took quite a while before you could buy the MW soundtrack outside the MW-CE) and I sorta just figured they'd stick it in there....well I'm not really dissapointed anyhow, the music is more fun listening to ingame anyways.

I'm guessing it's just like the first one, that it's simply that they have added intro and an actual outro, unlike ingame where it'll play in loop until it fades into the next track and perhaps aditional subtle instruments that would otherwise drown in ambient sounds. aswell as higher quality probably.
