Hey guys sorry that this is so off topic in the HL2 forum, but if anyone could help me with this just email me so it doesn't become a thread. I have a problem that if I can't fix I'm going to have to reformat my HD cause it drives me absolutly insane.
I downloaded the Firearms mod yesterday, and ever since I've installed it, there is a VERY annoying and VERY loud R&B stupid song played during the loading screen before I enter the 3D world in any of the HL1 multiplayer mods. I even went as far as to have my media player search my whole hard-drive for all media files and then listened to every one to try and find out where it is so I can just fix it. But after listening to 2000+ sounds and songs, it wasn't one of them. Is there any way I can use console to pinpoint where HL is playing that file from? The song is so loud that if I don't have my volume turned ALL the way down, the speakers will break up with the excess of power put to them. I've tried reinstalling everything having to do with Half-life to no avail. My last resort is going to be a reformat. Anyone else experienced this with the installation of Firearms or any other mod? It just seems like someone with a very bad sense of humor added that to the install and they deserve to have their mouths shit in.
