Just when I was getting withdrawl symptoms, LucasArts get wise and come out with a new game. Another Star Wars game.
And not before time. They must have been not working on a Star Wars game for days now, so thank f*ck they realised what a saturated gaming market needs.

Granted, the physics sound very impressive, but for Christ's sake... LucasArts are, in my humble opinion, one of the most money-grabbing, hand-wrinigng, unimaginitive, one-trick pony developers in the industry since they gave up on adventure games. Which is a crying shame seeing as they were geniuses at doing those.
For this, the quality of any game ever based in or around the Star Wars universe becomes moot and their souls are damned forever.

In the immortal words of Carl Barat: F*ck 'em.

Star Wars sucks - it sucked when it first came out and it sucks today
Why am I one of the few who sees that :P

Lucasarts intention is to milk everyone, and everything for whatever it's worth.

hehe that wireframe "goal celebration" ad from the first link is awesome

the DMM thing is interesting but the game sounds like Psi-ops with lightsabres

It'd be nice LucasArts would give Obsidian the go-ahead to make KOTOR 3 already. The bastards.

Guys, give them a chance to turn it around. The games that will be releasing next year are the first ones that will really be part of the "quality not quantity" revamping they have only just recently initiated. They need a little time to get back to producing a small amount of good games rather than a glut of subpar examples--to prove themselves capable of more than just milking their cash cow. I think they now know that they must nurture it too.

I am confident that they are doing what's right for gaming...I still wish they would work on more adventure games though...;(

I want Sam and Max. Day of the Tentacle. Full Throttle. ADVENTURE GAMES, GODDAMMIT.

I KNOW!!! Why retain the rights if you think they'll never make money anyway??? Why not just let the creators have them so they can make the games the fans want!!!??? Ugh...

S&M was a start though...:)

Seriously, they need to sit down and come up with some damn fine games like those again. Maybe then I'll believe they aren;t just some two-bit cash cow.

Precisely. I'm no economics student, but wouldn't it make more sense to sell off the license if they felt that they couldn't make enough money by doing it themselves? That way they still make money. This way, they have lost money and have diddly to show for it.
