I was just reading the windows xp home edition end user licsence agreement when suddenly I come across a paragraph that is highly interesting...I begin to wonder weather my xp is authentic, it might be pirated...but i bought it at comp usa. anyways...here it is.

windows xp eula said:

umm....comments anyone? I swear i didn't make this up, I know that the EULA is not read only, but i did not change it and no one else could have.

... whats wrong with that? just saying that anything you see on the internet isnt their fault.

What can I say but.....LOSER!!!

i doubt they are implying they own the intarweb, they probably defined third party as something else earlier in the eula. wait for icarus he should know.

they are talking about that links that come with microsoft when you first install. like the free internet trials and such

Well, if you read it again it basicly says "All your data is belong to us".

Use Linux or Mac.

That is from the real EULA

maybe yours was warezed?

nm, I see yours was a compusa comp.
I know some whitebox builders that installed unliscenced win (back in the pre-xp days when it was easier), but it seems unlikely a major comapany would try it (good way to get a$$rapored by MS, I'd think)

I bought an upgrade winxp home edition, i b uilt my own comp.
