one half life2, two machines

Can I run my halflife2 on two different machines at my house? (IOW: can I install one copy on two machines):dozey:
Or do I have to buy another one for my new machine? :dozey: OR is it possible to uninstall it on one machine, and put it on my newer faster machine?
I am not sure because of the reg code and how steam sets you up.

I have my HL2 installed on two machines. Both work fine. You have to write the password every time you restart, though.

You'll need two copies if you want to be able to play online with them simultaneously though. Steam boots you off if it finds to instances of the same product-key being used at once.

I'm not entirely sure. Best to try it in Steam's offline mode, thus not involving Steam's servers.
