Yup, its true. My copy of "Raising The Bar" turned up today from Amazon. Big chunky hardback, sleek glossy cover and packed with all sorts of concept art, facts and fiction...

Mmmmmm.....

Jealous rants can be posted below at the usual address :rolling:

I'm getting mine in about 20 days :D

Edit: Sweet, I'm a metrocop. Don't make me hit you with this stun baton!

It'll be worth the wait. A pretty hefty book for the money I thought.

Got mine a few months ago. Money well spent.

Got mine before it was in the shops. Gift well received ;)

Excellnt book.

Got mine march 24th for my birthday the 19th lol, bit late but who cares.

Its a very nice book, good quality, really firm, exelent cover an the info and art is great, (becoming a victor fan :D).

this book is definatly reccomended if you want to find out about the design direction they where headed to before shit hit the fan :D

exelent stuff!

hahahaha, the suggestive title got 97 views

You're all so lucky. I'm not getting the book... ;(

This is different than the strat. guide.

It's all about the making of the game I think

No one hurt me, but i've finished reading mine since xmas, and now it just sits on top of my tower where i rest my legs on it, occassionally reading during loading times or when someone asks stuff here about cremators, hydras etc. No other uses really, its a lovely foot rest, especially with the varying texture...lol

....and here i am tryin to keep mine in PERFECT condition :rolling:

I'm not selling it you vultures! And as B man said hes trying to keep it in mint condition prolly as he believes it collectable. Well it is, and its already inflated and mines worth £50...£70 if i keep the Glenn sock smell on it. How about it?

Oh and whats the point of keeping it mint, i need a LITTLE wear otherwise its not gonna be used. I'll describe mine as 'lived in'. Yours has no personality...how do you feel. :D

Raising teh Bar is a 'making of' book that is intresting in teh ub3r. It's got stuff they put in, stuff they didn't put in, reasons they didn't put in, what heppened on these days, why bull elks call down valve hallways... stuff like that.

I got mine a couple of months ago. A truly great book, worth of HL2 :p

There's nothing like the call of a Bull Elk echoing down the corridor to wake up your colleauges on an afternoon.

:D

Got mine for Christmas. You'll like it.

I know that - I was referring to an earlier post about purchasing a strategy guide.

I've had mine for a ....while....beginning of Dec I think, but yeah, GREAT read....I enjoyed it lots. Mine is on top of my desk..covered up, so that no dust gets to it. I'll prolly re-read it sooner or later, for kicks ;)
