Is there anyway I can optimize my wireless connection? It seems that when I am trying to play an online game the servers I see are very high in ping while when i go into them my ping is only ~50.

Can someone please help me with this?

EDIT: This just started happening. About 2 days ago my internet was running perfectly. All the servers I saw had a ping of less than 70. But now I only see around 5 servers with 60 then they jump to 150. Please help. This is very annoying.

Does anyone else download anything on ur network? thats what happens with mine, as soon as someone downloads even a 2mb file i get ub3r laggggg and end up having to stop playing. Its damn annoying.

I'm on a wireless network and sometimes that happens to me very rarely but it has happend the most annoying thing for me is being disconnected and then reconnected.

No one ever downloads anything off of me. I hate wireless, but it is pretty much impossible for me to change to wire which is not cool.. Could you guys please tell me if you are running 802.1b or g or Pre-N. I would like to know.

I currently am running a Netgear MR814v2, which is pretty damn old, and a Belkin 54 mb network card. I am thinking of upgrading my router since it is pretty old and only can run 11mb with my network card.

Still would appreciate any help optimizing my wireless connection.
