I bought it. It's a lot of fun, as long as you only play around two levels at a time because after a while the constant action gets a little tiring. But the levels are long, so I usually play for a while before I've had enough. There's enough visual and auditory variation in the levels to keep me interested because there's really good atmosphere and bosses. The weapons are great too. If you like old shooters like Doom you'll like Painkiller, because that's basically what it is, I actually felt a little nostalgia when I played. I'm really glad I bought it, if you ever feel like mindlessly slaughtering hordes of monsters like you did back before Half-Life, it's perfect.

Painkiller is a great game to play after a stressful day at work/school. But it's nowhere near old shooters like Doom - it's a shooter like Serious Sam, where you don't explore levels, you just go from A to B only to find 8978962378678235 monsters running your way. That's not what Doom, Quake, etc were

It's a great game anyway. And it's Polish!
That's what I love about it, no BS just shooting. Good for stress relief.
