Does anyone know if it is possible to play/view the game over two screens? I already use two screens for my regular computing but I can't seem to find a way to make HL2 spread to both.

BTW I'm using an NVIDA 6800 accelerator w/ Nview enabled.

Thanks for any tips.

Whilst it is possible (I think you have to run the game in a window, in widescreen mode) bear in mind the center devide will be where your crosshairs are, which makes aiming bloody hard. That said, there may well be an option for it, but I haven't looked for one.

I run two monitors, but I only run my games in one off them, partly because of the above, but also because it is great to be able to see your hardware monitor/communication programs while you play.

what do yu want two views of the same thing, or two screens synched?

btw- shouldnt this be in the hardware forum?

Yea, you just set it to widescreen and pick a widescreen resolution.

a game needs to be specially programmed to work on 2 monitors although some OpenGL games work with multiple monitors, it wouldn't be particularly useful in my opinion tho

im having the same problem, i cant run hl2 on 2 monitors. i put the game in wide screen, as big as it will go, but my monitors are larger then the highest resolution...

Do you want the game to run over two monitors or normal on two monitors? The thing is, when playing an FPS on dual monitors, it doesn't work very well. The crosshair is situated centrally for an FPS, which is the area between the two screens which meet (so you have half a crosshair either side of the screen). Therefore it's not worth doing, unless you have a 3 screen set-up.

I just need one more screen... :D

I'd set up my windows to run on two monitors, but I don't have the time... school starts tommorrow. : (
