Hi, first post i write here! H-L 2 = great game from the videos i see.

these are my specs:
Intel P4 2.4 with 400 MHz FSB
2x256 MB RAM DDR 266MHz
Intel D845BG Mainboard
Geforce 2 GTS
will upgrade to:
A PCI express mainboard with a Geforce 6800 Ultra.
will i be able to smoothly play 1024x765 with full detail and 4AA and 8AF????(with the Geforce 6) or will i need faster-more ram and cpu?
if i can play smoothlywhat about at 1280x1024 with same settings?

No that computer will not run HL2 good, you need atleast an AMD FX-53 with 2GB of Ram.
