What with the 1984 influences, the apparat-chic style, the fact that the vortigaunts turn out to be "misunderstood" and that the real threat is from a human (Breen), and the whole moral ambiguity with the g-man/breen thing, do you think Valve are trying to make any obtuse political points with hl2?

The real threat is actually the combine leader(s), Breen is their pupet.
